Caroline Hein is a fine art photographer based in Baltimore. Her contemplative, sometimes melancholy work focuses on the balance between nature and humanity, isolation, decay, and peace. Primarily working with landscapes but creating the occasional self-portrait, each of her photos are made with a specific muted color palette and grainy texture to reference these dramatic themes and to build a dreamlike or cinematic energy. Caroline draws inspiration from history, music, and the earth to portray her vision of the world through photography. In her free time, Caroline enjoys reading, walking in the forest, and antique shopping.
